The Dangers of Excessive Body Fats
Most women I know are always concerned about body fats. They are concerned about their outer appearance among their peers.
However, we need to know that our body, regardless of your size, requires a certain amount of body fat to function properly. When our body fat is below a certain healthy level, we run into health problems. The reverse is true when we have excessive body fats.
In this article, I shall share with you what I know about the dangers of excessive body fats that we carry.
We tend to see our fats on the outside of our bodies, but it is the fats that is inside our bodies are the dangerous ones.
When we have excessive fats inside our body, the functionality of our organs gets compromised. Major organs like our heart, lungs, kidneys, and liver begin to work less efficiently, and health problems start to develop as a result.
Health problems like heart disease, hypertension, breathing difficulty, insulin resistance, and diabetes are common with people who have accumulated a lot of excessive fats in their abdominal area.
In addition, fats also accumulate in our throat, leading to Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (a.k.a. OSA). People with OSA tend to wake up repeatedly throughout their sleep due to difficulty in breathing. They can never sleep well and undisturbed. This leads them to feel lethargic and lacking energy throughout the day. Constant yawning and inattention are common for people with OSA.
Also, with the additional fats, we put weight on our joints, particularly, our knees. People who carry a lot of excess fats (a.k.a. Obese) tend to suffer from joint arthritis and pains. The link between joint arthritis and pains with overweightness and obesity is irrefutable.
So, how do you know if you are overweight or obese? How do you know if your Body-Fat Percentage is out of whack?
Here, I shall share with you the general guidelines that you can use to determine if you are overweight, obese, or over-fat.
Body-Fat Percentages Guideline
Body fat percentage is how much of your body is made up of fat vs. bone and muscle. For example, a body fat percentage of 25% means that one-quarter of your body is composed of fat, and 75% is bone and muscle.

BMI Guideline
BMI is another measurement doctors use to assess your weight health. It uses your height and weight to estimate your body fat level. BMI is calculated by dividing your weight in kilograms by your height in meters squared.

I hope, with this blog article, you would start to rethink about your health and take your health into your own hands. No one can help you become healthier except YOU.
While I do have some friends who are obese, they claim they are happy as they are. Frankly, there is nothing wrong with being obese and happy at the same time, it is your state of being. But that doesn’t mean that being obese is good for your health.
Thank you for reading my blog article.
You have my best.
